RMI Financial Crisis Public Lectures Series
Introduction
The financial crisis of 2008 made it painfully obvious that the level of financial knowledge has been too low for
both the investing public and even for some finance professionals. In response, the NUS Risk Management Institute
held a free public lecture series on topics covering both personal finance and global events that affect personal
finance. The talks were aimed towards those with little or no background in finance so that they could better
understand what is happening in the financial world. The lectures were given in both English and Chinese to be
accessible to a wide audience.
The links below will take you to either the English series or the equivalent Chinese series. In both you can see
summaries of each lecture, links to online videos of the lectures and the presentation slides for each lecture.
