Part-Time Program

For the first ten years of its existence, the MFE program at NUS has been offered as a part-time program. It has been catered to those that are employed full-time; classes are in the evenings 7-10pm on weekdays or on Saturdays 2-5pm. In addition, the online videos of the lectures can be viewed by those whose work schedules do not allow them to attend their on-campus lectures on a regular basis, or whose work travel schedules keep them away from Singapore for a significant number of their lectures.

There is no disruption to one’s career when taking the MFE part-time.

The minimum and maximum periods of candidature for the part-time program are 18 months and 4 years, respectively.

Full-Time Program

For the first time, the 2009 intake will have the full-time option available to them. All of the classes available to part-time students will be available to full-time students, and vice versa. This means that lectures will still be conducted only during weekday evenings and Saturday afternoons. During the day, full-time students will be free to pursue internships (part-time work) if they wish. RMI will have limited number of spots available for such students.

Enrollment in the full-time mode enables overseas students to obtain student visas to stay in Singapore.

Enrolling in the full-time program without full-time work obligations will allow the students to more easily finish the program in less than two years. The minimum and maximum periods of candidature for the full-time program are one year and two years, respectively.
